It is the mistreatment of a child, young person or elderly person. Abuse is also considered physical, sexual, economic, mental and physical abuse.

It is any kind of mistreatment that a child receives from his or her family. Characteristics: * Physical abuse: This is inflicted through blows, pushes or any other form of sexual aggression. * Sexual abuse: This is when an adult involves a child directly or indirectly in sexual activities, with or without his or her consent.

As a consequence, the child will increasingly generalise this attitude or the same behaviours: There are two types of highs: - Adolescence is a time of ups and downs where a constant conflict occurs because adolescents raise problems daily about their identity and identification with the family as their main social group; many people abuse the trust of adolescents, many adolescents seek adult behaviour, they want to be treated as worldly and not as minors, on the contrary many adolescents get along badly with their parents. Especially during adolescence, high levels of social isolation occur. - This period is usually marked by social relationships. The child separates himself from the children's world and begins to discover relationships with peers, based on age and sex. The main activities of highs are: - Facing the problems of gender alternation, assimilating emotional ties, knowing that we are born men or women, and accepting one's own body without dreaming of being someone else's body. - Identifying with the role image in a functional and not passionate way, trying to find something that one does not have. -Accepting genetic inheritance, without complaining about what you don't have and what you can't change, but realizing that it surrounds everything. -Facing the march of bodily malleability, in inverse relation to size and power. -Knowing how to admire the good things in others, even if you never have them. -Being able to experience friendship, that free and equal relationship. That is to say, the highest thing is to be able to allow yourself affection from freedom, and to live friendship and friends without needing them to be indispensable for life.

-To face the separation of parents, nostalgically or with frank openness, but in any case with independence. That is, to know, after a separation, to love the transformed parents, the parents with new lives and new loves. And not full of resentment and ingratitude. -To learn to clean and bathe, to dress and shave, to know that the body is something more than an extension of feelings and disorder, and that it does not have to always be in a state of laziness. -Reasonably, to learn to live with others, to respect private property, schedules, personal space, tolerance, education. -To achieve economic independence, to stop being a child and become responsible workers.

Low self-esteem: -It refers to when there is low self-esteem due to pressure from adults (parents and family), the urgency of the media, rejection by teenagers, the number of close friends, the country in which one resides. -These external pressures cause low self-esteem in teenagers despite their efforts to be popular. -Many teenagers do not meet parental expectations, whose dreams often take place in previously easier periods. The teenager has different types of illnesses: -Psychological illnesses -Physical illnesses -Social illnesses.

The ways in which these illnesses manifest themselves are: Depression, anxiety, family conflicts, etc. Reasons: To improve. During adolescence, adolescents decide to improve their self-esteem because their self-images increase; attitudes, abilities, skills and personal characteristics increase and many adolescents end up being interdependent and competitive in such a way that their success in their work performance increases. Effects: The effects produced by highs and lows in adolescents are at a cognitive, motor and affective level, that is, they produce effects on the ways of thinking, acting and feeling.

Likewise, the abuser may also be investigated for crimes, in addition to being under a code of conduct that could be permanent. Christians should not ignore sexual abuse, as it is used as a weapon to control the victim and cause pain. This is a widespread practice in Mexican families. This type of abuse is seen in all Mexican families. Often the duration of sexual abuse is between one year or six years. Sexual abuse is a family secret and is only made public in the worst case, when the individual is already of legal age. A father, husband or older brother is the one who commits this sexual abuse. Many of the victims are minors and although at first they want to avoid it or not talk about it, many people end up being sexually abused, not just once, but several times. So why does the sexually abused person not report immediately after the first episode of abuse occurs? Shame and fear are the main reasons why sexually abused people do not report. Many people also believe that sexual abuse is an act of love and that if they report it, they could lose their family or be exiled. Others fear being ridiculed or ignored. Many sexually abused people end up being physically and/or verbally abused. This can be very traumatizing and affect the person for life. It can cause depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, eating disorders, sleep disorders, mental and physical health problems, and suicide. Some people become sexual abusers as adults. Childhood sexual abuse is a real and very serious problem. It should not be ignored or minimized. The Catholic Church has been criticized in the past for not doing enough to protect victims and punish abusers. The Church has improved in this regard, but there is still much work to be done.
